ABOUT LIVE ON ROUTE 66
The night is
already here.
WHY THIS EXISTS
Hear about it before Monday.
There's an hour on Central when the street belongs to nobody. The dinner crowd's gone home, the club lines haven't formed yet, and for about twenty minutes the neon does its work for an audience of line cooks on smoke breaks and one guy walking east with his hands in his pockets.
I've been that guy more nights than I'd admit. This guide exists because getting out should feel easier than hearing about it after the fact.
HOW THIS WORKS
A reason to leave the house.
Every listing tries to earn one sentence you won't find on the venue's website. Not a press release rewritten. Not a poster transcribed. A useful reason to choose this room, this street, or this night.
Start on Central. Find the room. Then go to the show you don't already know about.
LIVE ON ROUTE 66 / APPROVED SIGN IDENTITY
The sign.
The standard.
A complete identity for the corridor, from the browser tab to the roadside.
Canonical identity: locked. The approved sign supersedes earlier identity explorations. Read the governing brand standard ↓

One sign. The full name.
The plaque is primary. The horizontal wordmark carries the full name in the header; the city line belongs in larger uses.

Reverse / black lettering

Print masters contain no shading or rust color. Use the vector master for signage and print; the marketing image is a separate composition.
The 66 does the work.

The plaque sits inside a dark circular field. At the smallest sizes, recognition comes from 66 and the color blocks.

#a32128#234681#f4f5f1#28292b#864a36Depth uses small tonal variations around these base colors. Rust is a material accent at the rim. The existing gray surfaces and gold ticket controls remain part of the guide UI, not the sign palette.

Logo exports use outlined letters. Website text remains live, accessible type. Font licenses are included in the package.
Keep the face clear.
Give the sign room.
Clear space is at least one-sixth of the plaque width. Full plaque: 96 px minimum. Header lockup: 220 px minimum. Location lockup: 360 px minimum.
Keep the hierarchy.
LIVE / ON in the red crown. ROUTE / 66 in cobalt. Keep the divider, numeral drawing and proportions fixed. Do not stretch or rearrange the face.
Name the city outside.
CITY / CORRIDOR sits beneath the large wordmark. Use ALBUQUERQUE / CENTRAL AVENUE here. The plaque itself always says LIVE ON.
Let material set the scale.
Enamel depth and rim oxidation belong in large digital uses. Icons and print masters stay flat. Never place wear or texture through the lettering.
Keep the vocabulary small.
One plaque, one divider and paired 66. Ticket cuts and perforations remain guide controls. Photo-edge fades belong to imagery, not the logo.
Use the right master.
SVG for scaling and print. PNG for small icons and avatars. JPG for the marketing hero. Do not crop the plaque or use the marketing photo as a print logo.

Let the size make the decision.
Full plaques retain LIVE ON / ROUTE / 66. The 16 and 32 px icons drop the words so the numerals survive. Rust is confined to one rim seam; the enamel face stays clean. These are original vector studies based on the supplied reference description, not copies of the reference image.
The strongest small-size hierarchy is Night Marker. Civic Sign keeps the most balanced sign character. Marquee Plaque puts the entertainment name first.
Return to the current identity →ONE CANDIDATE / SIGN REFERENCE REFINEMENT
Closer to
the sign.
The broad plaque, shallow crown and rounded lower body return. The lettering belongs to Live on Route 66.
Back to Brand LibraryRetained from the reference.
The center peak, broad shoulders, curved sides and low center point. A red crown takes roughly a third of the face; the porcelain divider separates it from the cobalt field. Rust stays on two short sections of the outer rim. A slim metal lip, inset border and quiet enamel shading add depth without weathering the face.
Changed for this identity.
LIVE and ON replace the place name. Barlow Condensed supplies the words, and IBM Plex Sans supplies the broad paired numerals. Both type families already belong to the prototype. The historic serif lettering and worn surface are gone.
A sign you can recognize quickly.
ROUTE 66
Social avatar
Full wording at profile scale. The 66 and color fields carry recognition as it gets smaller.
Actual favicon sizes
The small icon drops the words and rust. It keeps the plaque, red crown, white divider and paired 66.
Depth belongs to the large screen version. Flat color, monochrome and the small icon stay crisp.
Exploratory candidate only. The current header, identity package, downloads and guide remain unchanged.
ICON LAB / ANCILLARY LINKS
Small marks.
Same road.
Three custom icon families for Instagram, Facebook, and the current live site. They share the Route 66 geometry, but each carries a different amount of sign character.
Road Marker
Compact plaque shapes with a clear route signal at small sizes.
Best for a direct, unmistakable Route 66 signature.
Neon Frame
Open line icons that feel like a storefront sign after dark.
Best when the links sit over a dark photo or video surface.
Ticket Stub
Perforated badges that connect the links to the night-out flow.
Best for a warmer, more tactile companion to the ticket buttons.
These are presentation studies. The existing footer links stay unchanged until one family is selected.
